With the beautiful weather lately, we’ve had an extra spring in our step (pun intended). We’re totally looking forward to our favourite months of the year fast approaching—wedding season! This year so far has been our busiest yet and totally exhilarating, but I must admit at times, very overwhelming too. I was ever so grateful when I reached out to Twitter and Facebook for help with our internship position that so many of you responded, retweeted, shared and told your friends about us!
With that, I’d love to introduce to you all Josephine, our new intern! She’s a great addition to our team and soon you’ll see some of her inspiration blog posts, as well as behind-the-scenes where she’ll be helping us with a whole lot of styling and other fun projects. Today she’s on the blog with some spring-time wedding inspiration, based on our Rose Garden designs. What better way for her to make her debut than to show you her favourite things! Over to you, Josie!
Blue skies, dusky sunshine, fresh blossoms, warm breezes, the beginnings of picnics on the green… Spring is coming. I was incredibly excited when I saw the “Rose Garden” invitation, with its jovial, youthful feel, its flashes of pinks and crisp greens were quite the welcome relief to the heavy greys of winter! Look at the playful typography too, suitable for the light-hearted, fun-loving bride. The moodboard was inspired by the colours in the ‘Rose Garden’ suite, which remind me so much of my favourite Spring things: from blousy English blooms (read: peonies!), to lazy afternoons of sipping tea and crunching on macarons… And I had to include the radiant bride shrouded by frothy tulle! If you are an adventurous romantic, the fresh minty greens, the flirtatious coral, girly pink hues will appeal to you. Enjoy! – Josie
